I grew up skateboarding and snowboarding so any time I can design for a snowboard or skateboard company the teenager in my brain has a party. This line of tees is for a clothing company based in Nashville. They were always positive and a pleasure to work with. The whim and excitement they have for their company is intoxicating and something I am trying to duplicate with my own brand. They really want to make awesome clothing that snowboarders can dig.
One of their themes is The Yeti attacking skiers and the above tee is that theme interpreted as an Iron Maiden teeshirt. It is definitely my favorite from the line. This was seriously one of my favorite projects by far. Please support these guys and their tees! Buy them here: www.badicalstore.com

This past weekend we gathered together with my whole family at my parents for the groundbreaking of their new house. Above all, I walked away with a deep sense that we are not as young as we once were. We are by no means old but there are almost more grandchildren(7) than children(10) now. We have health issues, Roth IRA’s and college funds not for ourselves but for our kids. When we get together we spend more time parenting our young brood than goofing off and telling bad jokes (although there is still plenty of that).
When we were kids my brother chase was a bit of a pesterer. Whenever one of us would get in trouble he would say in as loud a voice as possible without getting in trouble himself, “Busted!” But it was the way that he said it that really got under your skin. He would draw out the e in busted so long that it sounded like the most annoying one word song ever written. “Busteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!” As if the knowlege of the coming parental punishment wasn’t enough being berated by your little brother and knowing that reacting would only deepen the pile of trouble you were in sent you into mental anguish.
This shirt was made for Chases Bachelor party and when he showed up to the restaurant he was greeted with a chorus of his favorite one word childhood song. The picture was of chase’s face and under Busted is the date of the wedding and some other brotherly ribbing.
My brother Chase and his wife will be married five years this August. Chase now is the proud parent of a handsome little boy with another on the way this fall. Him and his wife, Renae, are an amazing couple that give generously of themselves to everyone. If chase did get “busted” five years ago by getting married, today he is all the better for it.

T-shirt Vault: Leviathan Films
Posted in portfolio, t-shirt designs with tags design, graphic, leviathan, Payola, screen printing, t-shirt on April 8, 2010 by jordanhallandThis was the first t-shirt I ever designed and printed. I was taking a screen printing class during my sophomore year of highschool and took full advantage of the educational opportunity. the whole process was done without a computer. I hand cut the design and adhered the plastic to the screen with glue. I taped it up and began printing.
This is the only one I ever printed but I love the shirt so much I litterally wore holes in the back of it. You can see that the bottom of the shirt is frayed and in tatters from my skateboard rubbing up against the shirt while carrying my board.
The design itself was the logo of the “film company” I was starting in my AP art class for the next period. I was making a skate video about Kalispell and convinced my Art teacher to purchase Adobe premiere. I don’t remember which version but it was archaic. The symbols are chinese or japanese symbols that I found in a book. I think they might have had something to do with maple trees. Skateboards are made out of maple and skateboarding was all I thought about back then. Also, skateboarding was going through a kind of fascination with the far east at the time and I felt the symbols were pretty cutting edge. Leviathan is a creature mentioned in the Book of Job. I thought it was such a cool name.
